The 3871 series broadband solid-state amplifier series operates from 9 kHz to 110 GHz and is provided in a 4U 19-inch rack mount chassis according to the IEC60297-3-100.2008 standard. Designed with a wide bandwidth, high gain and power, broad dynamic range, low spurious signals, and very high load resistance, the amplifier can be used as suitable test equipment covering multiple frequency bands. This makes it suitable not only for applications such as electronic counter measurements, antenna testing, laboratory instrumentation, and electromagnetic compatibility/electromagnetic interference testing, but also for narrowband applications like radar, microwave imaging, and satellite communications. The 3871 series amplifier features a patented spatial power combine. The amplifier operates on 100-220 VAC and is suitable for both rack-mounted applications such as testing and measurement and benchtop use. The RF input and output are matched to 50Ω. Driver amplification, bias, and gain control are integrated.
